About Alfonso's Pizzeria & Restaurant
Located at 1225 State Rd, Princeton, NJ 08540, Alfonso's Pizzeria & Restaurant operates as a pizza restaurant serving Princeton in New Jersey. Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Alfonso's Pizzeria & Restaurant at (609) 924-8351; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Princeton is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Princeton peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child when I used to live in the neighborhood. Every so often I come back to grab food from here. Nacho is a wonderful worker who creates a wonderful atmosphere and service. The rest of the staff is very friendly and kind when it comes to delivery, takeout, or dine in orders. My favorite dish is the chicken parmesan dinner and my favorite pizza dish is the ricotta broccoli pizza that he'd made for me since every birthday. Thank you for all these wonderful years and making my childhood so happy.

I stopped here while visiting Princeton. As someone born and raised in Philly, I was skeptical about ordering a pizza from central New Jersey, unlike north or south Jersey, where I know the pizza is good. My skepticism was well founded as the pizza was less than mediocre. They really need to season their sauce and realize that when a pizza has two or more toppings, it needs to be cooked well in order for the crust to handle it. Toppings were flavorless. How is it possible that anchovies are not the least bit salty? The salad was fresh, which was the best thing of the entire meal. Only one waitress on staff, but she really worked hard. Can't recommend.

Ok. Iβm just gonna say it as is. Ordered the side of meatballs as adding them to the pasta dish wasnβt an option. Mind you, it cost $10.50. Now I wasnβt expecting them to be the size of grapefruits, but for ten bucks Iβd certainly hoped for something larger than two timid little beef marbles hiding in the sauce like they owed the chef money. To be fair, the penne vodka was actually really good and the garlic bread was at least a full foot long - which honestly made the meatballs look even more sad - but I canβt get myself to give more than 2 starsβ¦

Delicious pizza with happy Italian vibes. I always visit here on Sundays post swimming lessons with my son for lunch. This place never disappoints. I thought I will do the review this time because this place deserves it. They have lot of options for pizzas by the slice if you donβt want the whole deal. Their pastas are also very very tasty And hearty. Highly recommended if you enjoy good pizza without good wine. By the way the place is also BYOB
